Each Edged data center cuts overhead energy consumption 75% compared with the global average—even in the hottest climates—and each is coupled with new renewable energy projects. Meanwhile, ultra-clean backup power systems virtually eliminate the direct air pollution attributable to traditional data centers.

Zero-water cooling

Traditional data center cooling consumes billions of liters of water, putting significant pressure on local resources. To address this growing issue, Edged uses a modular closed-loop cooling system that supports high density loads yet uses no water (WUE of 0.00). Compared with industry average systems with WUE of 1.8, a 100MW Edged data center saves 2.38 billion liters of water every year.

Built-in resiliency

Advanced bi-directional microgrids and large-scale energy storage allow each Edged site to maximize carbon-free energy (solar and wind), help to stabilize the local grid, and provide extra resiliency in the event of a grid outage. Ultra-clean on-site generators provide 24/7 self-power capability and transform each Edged data center into a local grid asset.
